9/11 redux

I guess that this is just a sort of poll, or a testing of the water out there, but in visiting another thread today, I came across a reply that floored me. It was that Bush had knocked the towers down. I know that I witnessed on the tube, Rosie O'Donnel claiming that there was a big conspiracy behind 9/11, but I had written it off as a publicity cook statement. So now there is two, are there more of these mindsets out there that believe that the world trade centers were a direct product of a government cover up?

I guess that I'm just floored with the other internet searches I'm doing on this. I agree that with the Kennedy shooting & the Warren commission sealing the documents for still years to come on their final findings, leave some questions. But the sheer magnitude of people I'm finding on this conspiracy theory regarding the attacks on 9/11, my god! I'm astonished at the length these people are willing to hate Bush.

Its sad to think that there are idiots around that actually believe this. I was off work that day when I was driving my son to school and heard about the first attack. At first it was thought that it was some kind of terrible accident. I went home and turned the TV on and watched in horror as the second plane hit the second tower. Everybody knew our country was under attack then.

I can't understand why some people are so stupid to think that this is some kind of conspiracy to force our country to go to war so somebody could make a profit. "Fire doesn't melt steel" is what Rosie McDonnell said. Well how does she think steel is made in the first place? She never heard of welding or the high temperature of thousands of gallons of jet fuel burning for a couple of hours? People like her and Charlie Sheen are insane in my opinion.

I bought my wife a plaque for her office, it reads: "You Can't Fix Stupid". Words of wisdom in my opinion. I too had that day off, and while watching the news, the first report came in & soon after the live feed. Initially, my thought with even being a pilot, was how could you make this kind of mistake (that was when they were reporting it was a small G/A aircraft)? But when the second jet hit, I realized that this day would be as large as Pearl Harbor would ever be. I certainly hope these idiots are life members of the flat earth society.

Melt it in this instance,no, but weaken it to the point of loosing it`s ability to support a load,absolutely.

It's a reflex from our foreign policies I fear. Ever since Ike (not the friggin non existent UPS jacket), Eisenhower backed Israel's play on taking up residence on Palestine property, we've been the target for middle Eastern attacks. Nixon putting the Shaw of Iran on our payroll didn't help too much either. But in defense of the good old red white & blue, at least we are in it, no fence riding for us. eh?
