More than likely, they may have to create a position for you if they refuse to work with your route. You seem very reasonable and far from an ass so I think if you stay reasonable you may get to avoid anything grievance based. But on the other hand if they won't work with you then you do have some recourse. I know they blow routes out nowadays and do some of the stupidist things I've ever seen a company do with ORION. If you absolutely love the route your on then be patient and hope relief comes from a manager change or a manager change of heart. If that doesn't happen, then there's nothing lost filing a grievance. Just so long as you try other avenues first. Or you can take it easy on your body and take a 22.3 job if they create one for you.
