Even if we were willing to switch from oil to other alternatives, some alternatives for oil (in certain industries) either don't exist or are still in great need of research.  Hydrogen fuel cells will never be much of a thing in cars with the acceptance of and advancement of batteries, but could be used for long distance travel is trucks.  I'm not naive enough (like some certain young Democrat from New York) to think this can be done overnight, but at least look at it and do what we can with the technology we have.</p></blockquote><p></p>
