Message: <blockquote data-quote="vantexan" data-source="post: 4576567" data-attributes="member: 24302"><p>What they need though are batteries that will charge quickly.  Purely electric non-hybrid cars that need to charge for hours will only work for local commuting.  There's a market for that but many people will still want cars they can drive all day to a destination.  That's the advantage of hydrogen over current technology if they build enough hydrogen stations.  Or at least put hydrogen pumps at current stations.  And then there's the amount of lithium available to make batteries.  Huge deposit in Bolivia, but how long will it last?  May at some point have to come up with a totally different type of battery, or move to another power source.</p></blockquote><p></p>
