Compared to what I was used to in my community, the homeless problem was disturbing to me. Fast-forward 31 years and my community is well on it's way to resembling what I saw in Seattle then!I remember when homelessness was mostly the province of druggies, drunks, and crazies. It is my observation that is much less true today. I believe that a fair amount of the current homeless are simply very unlucky.Out of ten friends I had while growing up, five of them have experienced being homeless.</blockquote>
