Just a heads up to any of you who are locked out of the site like I was: There's an easy fix.
1. Click on your account/avatar in the top right.
2. Click on account details.
3. Change your email account to a non gmail email. Yahoo and Protonmail work, and are free.
It will actually send the email confirmation email, just not to Gmail.
4. You're back, baby!
