I am proud of what the drivers and part time employees can accomplish for our customers with the daily harassment, following, the constant reminders that we arent going fast enough from SOME of the management here at ups. Think about it, its really amazing that the employees of this company can be treated so badly at times and can have such good attitudes towards our customers. I am proud that I work safe and stay as productive as I do with all of the million of things that can go wrong in a day. I am proud of some of the management here that actually try to make this company a decent place to work. Nobody is asking this to be a super wonderful job, I really dont think that kind of job exists, but nobody should come to work on a daily basis worried about being fired, which I have seen happen to many above average people here at ups....its not right, and a really pathetic way to run such a "publically" watched company. I am proud of the different things that ups does for our customers, you know, trying to find and reroute that one package in 15 million...thats pretty amazing in itself.....try to have the post office do that! Although it seems that some of our customers have been having more problems with ups now than they did, say 10 or 15 years ago, I think we still are doing a better job than the competition. I am proud that we have been holding off the competition as well as we have....I would like to thank the drivers and some management for that...now maybe the people a few steps up on the ladder will start understanding that the drivers are a large part of that and start treating people with a little respect. We are all coworkers.....changing this counterproductive attitude that seems to be so strong at ups should be first on the list of must do's. I am proud of all the charity work ups does, with united way, and especially the ups foundation and the annie e casey foundation. This is one area where this company really shines, and I truely appreciate the employees who give their time and money for others.
