Hello, I know that this is a forum for UPS employees, but I was hoping that maybe there would be other UPS wives on here who might understand a thing only a UPS wife can understand. It is peak season, and my husband has worked for UPS for the past 13 years, I have been with him for 10 years, so it isnt like this is anything new to me. He is a preloader, mainly the reason why he has kept his status as a preloader is because we both enjoy the fact that he is home all day, we can go places and do things. During peak though it is like I never see him. He comes home at 10:00 then by the time I make dinner (about 11am, another one of those weird preloader wife thing) and he gets on the computer and does what he needs to do on there, it is 3:00 and he is heading to bed because he has to get up in a few hours to get to work. I try my best not to nag him about it, I mean he cant help it, and well, UPS pays the bills, and all that overtime is a big big help financially, but this month is supposed to be the happiest time of year, and for me it is the worst month of the year. I know it is nothing compared to what you guys go through, trust me I know, I worked for UPS for a year when hubby and I had just met, so I know what peak is like, and I dont envy you one bit. Do any of your wives ever complain about all the hours you work? Or am I just being selfish for feeling this way about this? I don't know, maybe I am being selfish and I should be more understanding and try my best to do everything to make him happy during this month to make it easier on him. Well, gotta go spend another 4 hours alone till he wakes up and leaves again.
