The gypsies pull their trailer to our hub where it is unloaded and sent to centers for delivery. An example would be a company in Wisconsin, loading trailers for a hub in California. A gypsy that runs a 'creative' logbook pulls it to California. The packages are ours and if the gypsy cannot get their trailer on or off the door, we might have to do the switch for them. The shipper pays UPS and UPS pays the gypsy carrier.It is a fairly common practice with really large shippers.edited to add... in my local, the union allows it on loads where the gypsies are pulling it from the customer, NOT off UPS property.</blockquote>
