How soon does UPS let a prospective employee know if something comes back negative on their background check? Not worried about criminal, more so former employers giving a bad reference. Does anyone know which background check company UPS uses? Like HireRight?

UPS would only care about criminal background check this time of year.
Drugs or theft? Which one are you worried about

Employers are strongly discouraged from giving either a positive or negative reference to employees upon separation as it could lead to possible litigation; that being said, it may be an issue if you are applying for a position within our brokerage division.

Still wondering how long it takes - if an orientation date and time were set, if there was a problem, would UPS let the prospective employee know before orientation? Or do they send them home at orientation? IF there is an issue......

The worst that can happen is you won't get the job. Show up for your orientation and go from there. To get all worked up over it is not helping your stress level....would you agree?
