I hate to be bleak, but nobody is going to do anything about it....we, Americans, are gone. So far gone. We all align ourselves with specific lines of thinking and immediately attack those who disagree with that specific line of thinking. We don’t converse, we don’t share ideas and attempt to improve....we just attack. I have some food for thought though. Millennials, younger; we get a lot of flack for our propensity to be apathetic; depression, anxiety, mental issues rampant. I had my own mental heath journey to go through, and it took a long time to accept that I needed help, mostly because of the stigma attached. Can’t tell you how many times I heard You’re just lazy There’s nothing wrong with you Just gotta get a good job I grew up studying journalism, and immersed myself in the dark secrets of the world. We are the first internet generation; I was 7 in 1996 when my dad brought home our first pc with America online. My entire life, I’ve dug on the web, seeking truth, finding some answers, but mostly discovering more questions to ask. When you discover how truly far gone this country is; how corrupt we are at every single level of local and federal government; how rigged the system is to keep the poor down and protect the rich; it is depressing. When you realize that many Americans are not interested in REALLY improving anything; only in protecting their own specific social and political affiliations, it’s depressing. Older generations are mostly blind to this stuff, because they don’t have the natural propensity to search for truth, like we do. So they assume we are all just a bunch of spoiled, worthless losers. Which some of us certainly are, which I certainly have been in the past HOWEVER; these older gens fail to realize that we have grown up knowing the truth, knowing that we are playing a rigged game, observing that environment getting worse, experiencing violent wage to cost of living fluctuation. Maybe, older generations are the worthless ones? You know, for never doing a damn thing to stop how corrupt our country has become???
