John B Calhoun mouse and rat utopia experiments are being realized throughout modern society. Instead of being fulfilled by abundance, man becomes lost and depressed when the individual pursuit of excellence is abandoned and feelings of entitlement are encouraged.

Very interesting. I remember these studies from years ago.
Humans are animals and are mirroring these results over the last 4-5 decades.

I think we havent reached the top yet but close. I think the birth rate in the US has fallen to 1.8 which means exactly what Calhoun says.....but we replenish our population with immigration. Birth rates are down all over the world.

The Earth is also reacting to the harm that mankind causes. The pollution, deforestation , etc by unleashing these population diminishing acts like viruses. We will see a lot more of this.

Actually I am rooting for the Earth to shake us off like a flea on a dog or WW3 that will cause a life ending episode on Earth which has happened several times in 4 billion years of Earth's existence.

We effed up paradise .

Scientists have surmised that there were intelligent cultures millions of years ago that ended due to some event like an asteroide or a nuclear war.

It only takes 10,000 years for the Earth to recover from an event like this.

I'll start becoming worried when rats actually become extinct in the real world and not someones labatory. Rats and cockroaches are survivors. you cant kill em.

It's not the result of rat and mouse experiments that concern me. Rat and mouse psychology is not that great an analog for human psychology. What I'm concerned about is the fact that the experiments are being conducted on people.

I'm sad to say I won't be around when the Russians invade and beat their skulls to a pulp for being too disrespectful.
