Message: <blockquote data-quote="vantexan" data-source="post: 4609969" data-attributes="member: 24302"><p>At that time he was saying it was just a few cases and would go away.  Heard him talk about it yesterday.  Said he was surprised it got as bad as it did.  But early on he said he was downplaying it to prevent panic.  Of course they were blaming it all on him when it's not the president's job to run efforts in each state to control it.  But if the Chinese president tells him it's really bad, and he chooses to sit on that, even saying the virus is a Democrat hoax, which he clearly did, saw that rally, then he missed the opportunity to get things shutdown sooner and get people wearing masks.  Might not have made much difference, but it might have saved a lot of lives too.</p></blockquote><p></p>
