I kind of had a bad feeling when the trainer "guaranteed" the victory and the triple crown on the walk from the barn to the track. That's something you don't do. To have confidence is one thing, and is not bad, but to literally guarantee a victory almost always jinxes you.

Guaranteeing a victory worked pretty well for Joe Namath (Super Bowl III).

I think the jockey saved the owner millions by not running BB into the ground trying to win a race he definately was going to lose. That was a mature, heads-up play by a guy who knew the right thing to do.

I heard he joined the Teamsters Union and had to take his hour break somewhere along the back stretch!!!

At least UPS got their money's worth sponsoring a nag. Hell, how much have we spent on a loosing Nascar team. I'd say the money was well worth what was spent.
