I have been living in my neighborhood over a decade. Never came close to running out of candy. We ran out this year , neighbors gave us some extras, ran out of that also. Record year for trick or treat.
My parents buy more every year and run out every year. Bought for 450 this year. I ended up giving Ava candy away too

I've lived here 14 years now. I've had a total of 7 trick or treaters in all that time. I quit buying candy years ago because I would always end up eating it all. If any show up I'll probably just give them a cup of sugar or 50 cents --what ever they prefer.

Sounds like people are being trucked in?
There's a school and a church to park at right at the entrance of my parents subdivision. People park there then walk the subdivisions. They also block off the roads so there aren't cars all over. That plus I'd say 90% of homes pass out candy in the subdivision means a lot of people come from out of town.
