I was in the computer room (surprise surprise) and my wife was watching tv when all of a sudden a smoke alarm started going off. Then a second one-then a third one. Within about 15 seconds every smoke alarm I have in the house -8 of them- was all going off. As we are frantically running through the hose trying to find whats burning they started to shut off until they were all quiet. For a split second we had thought we smelt something like an electrical fire but we really wasn't sure because it didn't last but a second. All my smoke alarms are hard wired with battery backup so I don't know if an electrical surge cause something to malfunction or what. I never found any trace of smoke or any electrical devise that didn't work after that. It still has me stumped.</p></blockquote><p></p>
