Cali. doubling down on closing nuke plant

You have to give em credit. With blackouts a common if now standard reality.....CA "folks in charge".....have decided to close nukes(8% of electricity). "To help facilitate new sources of carbon neutral electricity". See, having nukes is just "misguided"...while complaining that making safety improvements would cost $1 billion(while being mandated by regulation...).

See, just legislate new requirements....and voila! It will be done.

So it is written....so it shall be done....

Folks.....their "vision" is to have solar panels and windmills on every rooftop.....and every empty field.....all manufactured by the Chinese whose power plants are.......COAL! BTW, these empty fields used to grow our food.....

The UK thought wind power was the solution to their power woes.
Until some years ago, when there was a massive cold snap and the wind turbines froze.
And suddenly no one had power.
Some died because of this loss.

Without multiple sources of power supplying the electrical grid, losing one or two sources can cripple the entire system.

Having more options is always the best solution.
