Message: <blockquote data-quote="vantexan" data-source="post: 5880158" data-attributes="member: 24302"><p>Nobody would do the FedEx job for $10 hr when they can go down the street and get similar pay for less effort.  The market determines the pay.  As long as FedEx can find people in an area willing to do the work for $17hr then that's what they'll pay.  UPS gets that $40 hr because they're unionized and their management can't ship those jobs overseas.  Most people don't have that bargaining chip.  They take what they can get and if you eat at fast food places regular you'll notice a lot of turnover.  A lot of fast food workers are always looking for something better.  And quite a few are on the flaky side and don't last long at any job.</p></blockquote><p></p>
