I realize its hard to swallow the truth when "garbage" has been shoved in first. But the reality of the cash for clunkers program was a huge success for everyone who took advantage of the trade in. I said on this board long ago that giving cash to the big three was a mistake and that same money should be given to the AMERICAN TAXPAYERS in order to stimulate the auto industry. Finally, that has been done, and it works. Its unfortunate that the right wing media and the determine efforts of FAUX news to confuse the issues and use exageration to polute the minds of those who follow the program. In a period of deep recession, the President has made the RIGHT move to help the american taxpayers directly. George W. Bush left this country in a deep sinking hole and it going to take alot of money to turn it around. The rest of the world is doing similiar things and countries are also turning around. Obama TOLD the country before he took office after many briefings by the BUSHED administration, that the economy would GET ALOT WORSE BEFORE IT GOT BETTER and he was on the money. You have to accept the reality of the mess that GW BUSHED left this country with. We are paying for his mistakes and the mistakes of the republican led congress. The failures of BUSHED and the republican leadership in congress will be felt for years to come. President Obama made it clear, before he ever took office, Your beloved BUSHED left 1.7 trillion dollars of unpaid debt on his desk. Now he's dealing with it before this country heads into a depression. Congrats to Obama for his handling and turning around of this country. Thank you Mr. President. :peaceful:
