WE have been told we all must work is this company wide i am in ene.
Wouldn't that be a sixth report? And most drivers won't have the hours to work.
Only time we ever worked on a Saturday Christmas Eve was if feeders were not able to get in on Friday. No such orders as yours here....
I plan on having a case of the diarea that day. So in essence I'm gonna have to sit that one out.
+ me and my father-law are going to be a little drunk that day early.
We always work on Christmas eve. It won't be any different, just get paid alot more.
I don't know if it is on Saturday, but my wife says it is on the 24th. Does this sound right to anyone else?
Dude it's always on the 24.
How did you know I am a dude?
Being a Saturday, they will only deliver air anyways !
That being said, air volume will most likely be very high and low seniority drivers may be forced into coming in to help out.
They are not going to run a full preload on Saturday PERIOD !
Silly boy, you are funny!!! Remember, they make up the rules as they go!!!
Don't know about that Heff.
Depends on the weather and consequent backup in the system.
I could see the 24th being a Ground delivery (no pickup) day too! Especially if it has Merry Christmas on it.
Last time Christmas Eve was on a Saturday we delivered air packages and anything that looked like a Christmas present.
I plan on having a glass of wine with my omelet on the morning of the 24th!
As senior driver in my building, see ya!
we have been told that we will be cleaning up on christmas eve.....everybody works.
There is that pesky thing called DOT hours which would limit who would be available to work. As Hoke said, delivery would not be limited to Saturday air but would be primarily residential. Time and half would make for a nice Christmas present.
We always work on Christmas eve / What is the problem?
I thought you kinda gave up your life from Nov. 15 til Dec. 25?
