COVINGTON, Ky. (FOX19) - CNN agreed Tuesday to settle a lawsuit with Covington Catholic student Nick Sandmann.

The amount of the settlement was not made public during a hearing at the federal courthouse in Covington, Kentucky.

Sandmann’s lawsuit sought $800 million from CNN, the Washington Post and NBC Universal.

Hmmm, seem to recall some here going after the kid and saying the news outlets did nothing wrong.

One down and several to go, except for the $5M against the drum beater. That case was canned by the judge who thought that person would not have the amount being sought

They edited out the fact that those teenagers maga hats sent a group of black Jews and that engine over the TDS edge. They had a very public freak out, calling those kids fags and even some random Native American an uncle tomahawk for calling them out on their bs.

I don’t think the media can help it, during the time they were pushing that whole maga hats are like klan hoods narrative. They believed those kids were basically klan members and deserved it all.

They reported on a viral video with the scant information they had. Lazy and reactionary, probably negligent. Slanderous sounds like a stretch but I'd have to see which particular articles were used for the lawsuit.

CNN didn't just report though. They flat out attacked the kid and made up stuff. Same kind of stuff they made up about Trump to show him in the worst light possible. Only you can't do that to an average citizen without running the risk of being sued. The kid's crime was standing there with a MAGA hat on. He did nothing else but was made into a slimeball racist saying he attacked the Black Israelites and the Native American with racial epithets. Didn't happen and it wasn't just one story either. They piled on for several days.

We are laughing at CNN. We have learned how fake they are. If you are fair and not fake you never have to write a big check like CNN.
