Do it! I've been doing it and I'm almost done. Nursing might be a bit challenging because of clinicals etc. And if you're not motivated you're going to fail. It's sucked working 50hrs a week and then coming home and having to study. If you're not dedicated don't try an do both at the same time. Seriously take a look at yourself. Will it be worth it? Absolutely, I'm almost done and already getting some job offers. Better pay, much better hours, similar benefit, slightly less time off, but more holidays off and something more interesting than delivering boxes. There will be haters that tell you there is no better job that UPS (yes it is a good job). But that is completely false. Nursing is great too! Great pay, and working 3 12's a week is sweet. I have a few friends who are nurses and they love it. My advice, get the hell out of UPS. I also agree with you that this won't be a viable job in 15-20 years from now. Old guys won't admit it because they are scared for their pension but it's true. Long gone are the days of 35 year career drivers. The age of low paying unskilled labor is banging in the doors of UPS. And if there is any evidence of this happening just look at how weak the union is and all the competition in the logistic industry. Cough cough Amazon.
