Starting wage is a waste of time.
Anyone know how the show went? Any more hoffa people harassing members?
It went great. Tim got up on stage and juggled. Then he did the Pee Wee Herman dance. Then he challenged everyone to a pie eating contest which he won of course. It's so ironic that T (d is silent) U, has a comedy show. That goes to show you something.

Really?? All because you got your 70 cents on August 1st?? That's all it takes you to accept mediocrity?? A few "pieces of gold" to sell you off and keep you content enough. Sounds selfish to me.

Solid health plan, industry leading wage, 2nd highest pension...I will be eating the good cat food when I retire.

How much will Tim get us?
In 804, while H2O was accepting the crumbs off the big brown table and conceding to this package behemoth,Tim got us a large and needed raise in our pension, 150 new FT jobs, a new local grievance panel and more monies into our H/W, more summer vacations, etc ...ALL WITHOUT CONCESSIONS!!

In 804, while H2O was accepting the crumbs off the big brown table and conceding to this package behemoth,Tim got us a large and needed raise in our pension, 150 new FT jobs, a new local grievance panel and more monies into our H/W, more summer vacations, etc ...ALL WITHOUT CONCESSIONS!!
The pension will be horrible for new hires. The 150 isn't impressive considering the hiring rate of UPS after Davis left UPS. And your "new" panel is our "old" panel. Not impressed.

Pension will be the same for ALL. The 150 was more than any other local was promised. As for the new panel, yes our Old Guard board didn't have the foresight to push for that years ago, but remember this was Tim's FIRST contract. Real change takes time. Hoffa/Hall have had 3 contracts to prove themselves as competent. All 3 contracts have been mediocre to failure.

4 contracts for hall. $17 an hour wage hike not including H&W.

Tim's method consists of standing up to UPS, demonstrating that the membership is behind us and not willing to back down. UPS saw the strength and solidarity of our local and gave in to US!! Tim can and should feel proud of his first contract while Hoffa/Hall should be ashamed.
