That ought to tell you something about today's marijuana. Much more powerful these days as it has been genetically modified. A number of clinical studies have shown that young adults don't have fully developed brains until they are 25-27 depending on the individual. Those who start regular marijuana usage in their teens or early 20's are at great risk of doing permanent damage to their still developing brains because of today's much stronger marijuana. Marijuana usage has become so commonplace that we are in danger of having many millions of adults permanently damaged. My wife, who is 60, started smoking pot at 43. Didn't tell me about it before we got married at 51. After we got married she constantly went on about needing pot. She just sold her house in Kansas and bought one in Illinois near St. Louis. It's where her son lives and he supplies her with pot. She was so paranoid about buying pot from strangers in Kansas that she and her daughter would drive across Missouri to get it from her son. Her daughter at 20 was managing a Firehouse Subs. She smokes pot every day. Has been living with her mother for almost 5 years now and has lost all ambition it seems. Was supposed to go to college when she moved in. Took 2.5 years to get her to go and she just quit without even getting an associates degree. Is an extremely angry, volatile person when she isn't high. I haven't lived with them in over 2 years. Legally half the equity in the house just sold is mine. My wife tried to tell me she only cleared $20k but it was actually more than $60k. You are smart to get off the drugs because continuing on that path will lead to serious problems.
