Right now we're about as helpless as we were with polio back then. You don't just suspend the NBA season ban attendance at the NCAA playoffs along with nearly all international air travel bringing the global economy almost to a dead stop and still think of COVID 19 as just another form of seasonal flu.

Do you really think that Donald Trump would take such extreme measures in a presidential election year unless this virus has got the living feces scared out of him ?

The bigger question is....will it be enough and what if it comes back this fall in an even more lethal form?

NYC keeps public schools open despite corona virus b/c many 1000s of poor children can't get meals, laundry, etc anywhere else. For the poor, exposure to disease/death is the price they pay for basic needs.
