Covid bonus checks for management?

The first person to alert me to this was a customer who has a sone in full time management in automotive. He asked if I recieved the "extra check they were handing out?" I knew nothing of it. Asked him for more info, but he kinda back tracked and tried to say maybe it wasn't what his son said.
Asked an p/t OMS, she said she heard rumors of the checks, but she didn't get one.
Spoke with a union official. He said his manager slipped and told him about the checks, but wouldn't elaborate.
Another driver I told about it flat out asked a new OR sup. He said he got "a little over a grand"

This is true. But they were told not to call it hazard pay. In reality it was probably the ceo paying the other half of the mip they didnt get.
