Nope. Why do you think I pack boxes for a living? I got tf out. I’ve made extra scratch doing freelance work to get by at times, before I landed the driving gig. But, from when I signed up to become a journalist in 2002-2003(high school), to the end of studying journalism in college Everything changed. Everything. The pay, what it took to get the jobs, THE JOBS themselves, everything. Clicks=$ Sensationalism=clicks It used to be that when Americans wanted the truth, they read the newspaper. Now. If we’re being honest, in 2021, people don’t want the truth They want to read something that gets them fired up, that activates their needy, short attention span. As we changed, journalism adapted. Still. It is very possible to gather information, and come to a healthy conclusion. You just have to be hyper aware of what you’re reading, and ask yourself if you’re just trying to find something that agrees with you, instead of seeking the truth. I have to do that. We all do. Seeking the truth is what TRUE journalism is all about.
