For some reason about this time every peak (I know it's free period) the company would rather use subcontractors , and let our guys sit at home on the couch . Is Hoffa ever going to get this straightened out ? And yes we at White's Creek U.P.S. Local 480 are filing grievances daily on these practices just like we have in the past . Last year alone I received over $8,000.00 is monetary settlement . The point I'm trying to make and understand is why is it even happening , why can't Hoffa buckle down on this issue and get our guys to work ? Hey brothers , we can do this but we have to unite , communication is the key to spreading the coyote operation information so that it can be filed on . Sooner or later the company will get tired if paying us and the coyotes.

Then you can see what gorilla was talking about.

Pension contributions are not part of the grievance settlement.
If they have our guys at home and the coyotes running our zzz out of the yard then yes they should get paid and pension paypacks.... If that happen here out west, our guys would be getting paid like a boss !!!

Hell, I pulled empties 2 days last week and single trailers the rest of the time. Working 6 days a week just to pull empties$$ Money well spent.

Light 'em up!
It's not good business sense

Actually, it is.

They need to work the contractors now, or in 2 weeks, they won't be around to pull any loads.

If they guarantee them a month of loads to pull, they will stick around for when they actually need them. And UPS would rather pay a feeder driver not to work than a contractor.

But no feeder guys should be laid off if coyotes are pulling our loads .... That s would never happen here.... Guaranteed!!!!!!
