$250k is not rich.
How Democrats Would Tax High-Income Professionals (Not Just the Mega-Rich)
$250K single/$500K married seems like a reasonable starting point.
I don't think so.
You jack up taxes like that and revenue will fall. Happens every time.
How does it feel being poor?
Sucks. May have to cut back and only go on 3 yearly vacations. Also might have to pay our CPA more are we shuffle and avoid taxes.
That's what I always find compelling when folks call for taxing the rich. "Making them pay fair share, blah, blah." An honest CPA will tell you that the entire US tax code system exists solely to benefit and enrich the wealthiest people and corporations in the country and outside of it.
Just one more tax up in NY, eh? LOL
Trust me, I am nowhere near those thresholds.
