I think California needs a Texas style blackout/collapse. They need a shock so they can start building new standardized modern safe design nuclear power plants that can handle everything and more.

But last time I checked Pacific Gas & Electric is a private company who has a pretty bad track record of doing whatever they want.

I also find it funny how conservatives are now all about the government handling utilities instead of letting the free market deciding what to do.
