I don't know, whose fault is it? You seem to be implying it's the person passed over for the promotion or the people who don't make it to management(aka the vast majority). But me? I'm not so sure of that. What if they guy who was doing the promoting had a taste for the latina flavor? Then, what do you know, there were a couple hot boricua mamis up for the spot, and he gave the promotion to the one with the nicest ass. Maybe the next time it came time for promotions, the boricua mami with the nice ass, she’s in charge now, and she's got a bit of a thing for black dick - there just happens to be a young Denzel-looking brother on the scene at Wal-Mart #653, and although he's fairly new, he's got what it takes to move up in this company. And the next time... You see my point hopefully. It's not always a person's fault that they don't fly through the ranks and scramble up the corporate ladder like they were avoiding a fire under their ass. Things happen. Unfairness happens. People are passed over for any number of petty reasons, some of which are downright illegal, and if not quite, then certainly morally and ethically questionable. Plus the vast majority of employees never advance to position of power, even lower level management. There might be 10 management people total, at your local Wal-Mart, and there's 200 employees at a given time - so how many truly have a chance to advance, and what are the chances something doesn't stand in their way, even if they do their absolute best and go above and beyond the scope of their job. Be real, dawg. Generalizations and projections like that just make you look basic.
