Deutsche Post Exits US Domestic DHL Air, Ground Operations - Smart Money
Postal and logistics giant Deutsche Post AG (DPW.XE) Monday finally moved on its troubled DHL operations and said it will exit its U.S. domestic air and ground business by the end of January, which will lead to a net loss for the full year.
The decision is aimed at reducing the company's risks to a minimum and at intensifying its cash-generation and earnings-boosting Roadmap to Value program in order "to prepare for the rough times ahead."
