I’m watching TV last night and this commercial came on. I was thinking WTF as it was playing and wondering how it could be on TV. Then it came to end and I realized what it was about. What do y’all think?

I'm guessing that was a satirical way to criticize people buying bags, etc made out of various skins, leathers, etc. They made that look a little too realistic but I guess that's the point.

I’m thinking not really satirical. If you waited until the end you would’ve seen it was a PETA ad. I’m sure they did it for shock value.

That's satire. Jonathan Swift did the same thing with an essay on the "Irish problem" called "A Modest Proposal." As I recall he suggested eating Irish babies and skinning them for purses, etc to bring attention to the poor, desperate conditions the Irish were in.
