Message: <blockquote data-quote="vantexan" data-source="post: 6067800" data-attributes="member: 24302">No doubt it won't be easy.  Moving everything offshore took time too.  And we have examples of manufacturers building factories here to avoid tariffs already.  Numerous foreign car companies have factories in the U.S.  One problem I'm seeing is we signed a trade agreement with Canada and Mexico that allowed our companies to put factories in those two countries to avoid higher labor costs in the U.S.  Japan and others have taken advantage of this too by moving some of their factories out of the U.S. and into Mexico.  Trump is now going after Mexico and Canada for the trade imbalance that our government working with our companies caused.  We do need a better balance of trade but to hear him tell it it's the Mexicans and Canadians pushing unfair trade practices.</blockquote>
