The other thing that amazes me about the welfare discussion is this. the wealthiest Americans and largest industries created a whole industry just to constantly beg the government. We call that 24/7 begging the government industry lobbying. We don’t call the wealthy names. We don’t call them lazy, or immoral, or criminal. We don’t rail against government dependency. The rich created a whole industry to feed their government dependency. In fact, the wealthiest Americans are so good at extracting money from begging the government that they pay professional beggars(lobbyists) enough to make the professional beggars rich. We all see this. It is not hidden. So the government can withstand constant begging by the wealthiest Americans to extract huge sums of money, and no one really raises a sound about it, but that same government giving money to economically poor Americans gets a lot of people very very angry. I just wish people would be honest and say I hate those other Americans. I don’t know want the US government helping them. That’s at least honest. Instead of all of this pretending that you are against welfare because of excessive government spending.
