Message: <blockquote data-quote="Up In Smoke" data-source="post: 5255106" data-attributes="member: 79702"><p>How is it no one remembers the fall of 2018, when the Fed tried to reduce it's balance sheet and raise rates?  We saw a dramatic drop in the market and panic selling.  Powell reversed course and remarked the Fed Chairs got it wrong and that the economy was not strong enough to stand on it's own.  This time around the economic factors are much stronger and they feel now is the time to unwind the monetary policies that have propped up this country for 14 years.  Sink or swim time.  We all knew this day was coming and shouldn't be surprised at the pain today and for the foreseeable future.  I'm amazed to see adults act like children when their free lunch is taken away.</p></blockquote><p></p>
