Due to the flood
Are they getting paid
Yup as long as their on company time or company vehicle.
That is hella cash $$
I'm stuck also.. just sitting in my car as we speak.
Got to have 10 hours off before reporting to work again too. Don't forget that.
Happen to my building during a blizzard years ago,,,,,if you stayed with truck and did not find shelter you got paid straight through.Union made some kind of deal ....time and a half after 8hrs till midnight.....straight time after for 8hrs..then time and a half again...........to alot of us it was total BS
Reminds me of last Christmas Eve, flood of airs kept us out way too late.
So they are above the law there
Even if the company had agreed to pay them time and a half, they would have lost most, if not all, of it to taxes.
We'll be delivering the Sunday before this year to soften the blow.
That's not true.
Doubt that the one day of lots of overtime would bump them into a higher tax bracket.
They would have to earn almost a few hundred grand to go into the next bracket.
Wouldn't that put them in a lower tax bracket?
A suburban Detroit mayor says a woman has died in a vehicle that was stranded in about 3 feet of water after heavy rains caused widespread flooding in southeastern Michigan.
Numerous roads have been closed by flooding in the Detroit suburb where 5.2 inches of rain fell Monday. Fouts says roughly 1,000 vehicles are abandoned in the city.
It would work itself out in the end but for the paycheck in question they would get slammed by Uncle Sam.
Thank you H&R Block.
How do you die in 3 ft of water?
"A suburban Detroit mayor says a woman has died in a vehicle that was stranded in about 3 feet of water .."
Short people got no reason to live?
It was awful
The freeways were literally rivers lol
