drug testing for part-time supervisors?

I am currently a loader I am considering becoming a part-time supervisor. I occasionally smoke marijuana and doubt I would pass a drug test. Would I be required to take one to become a part-time supervisor?

I am gonna guess no. Otherwise, a good chunk of part-time sup's would become unemployed.

If they do, I'm just gonna stay hourly. I'm a damn good worker and don't come to work intoxicated. No need to be holier than thou.

You know, I by no means judge anyone, to each his own. I wish they would test at my center though we have an employee who has been coming to work high and just acts like he dont know whats going on ( just like my on road sup lol) Fortuantly hes in the trailer and doesnt have to do anything but cmon theres no reason to come to work if you cant perform your job effecitvly and proficiently.

theloader, I doubt you will get much compassion (rightfully so or not) from anyone in this forum if you are using drugs.

I'm not looking for compassion. It's most people's way to judge others.... I'm just looking for a simple yes or no answer from someone who honestly knows.

i seriously doubt they get tested, i heard a few interesting stories from a friend of mine who is good friends with a few supervisors.

If you're really interested in the position spend a couple months cleaning yourself out and apply. If management sounds and feels like a good deal for you it would be worth it to put the weed aside.

LoLthat's funny I was a OMS for 8 yrs believe me if you have a big center w/ a lot of drvrs some days you feel like your on crack.

OMS "Office Management Specialist" is what it stands for but actually there title were changed to PCS "Package Center Specialist".

The funniest thing was when they first changed the title it was at first PMS but it didn't last long before finally PCS.

I have never been given a drug test since I started working as PCS (OMS) then went friend/t without one. It may be different where you are not sure?
