Epilepsy and full time delivery driving

I wanted to know in advance if I get hired at ups as a package handler and work my way up to full time driver so I’m not wasting my time. I was diagnosed with epilepsy 3 years ago haven’t had one seizure in 7 months, would ups hire someone as a full time driver if they have had a history of epilepsy? I’ve also read you don’t need a cdl to drive one of those brown delivery trucks just a regular drivers liscense which I’ll be getting back soon my doctor says. Just wanted to know so if I where to get to hired I don’t waste 4+ years working just to be told no I’m not allowed to be a full time driver. Your answers are appreciated greatly!

m8 do you really believe it’s a good idea for you to be in a stressful job driving a multi ton vehicle with epilepsy?

You have to pass a DOT physical. Probably what would happen is the DOT physical doctor will send you to your specialist. And the specialist will decide if you qualify for an exemption. do some research. Talk to your doctor. Good luck.

...or, better yet, find a job in which your medical condition would not be a limiting factor...
