If the border was a direct one, like Mexico, it would have already happened; however, we are talking about having to cross an entire ocean so I don't see it happening any time soon, if at all.
We have accepted over one-half million Southeast Asian refugees since 1975. The Pacific is a much wider gap than the Atlantic.

The number of refugees that the US can accept is set by law. For FY 2015, that number is 70,000.

Africa................................17,000
East Asia.............................13,000
Europe and Central Asia................1,000
Latin America and Caribbean............4,000
Near East and South Asia..............33,000
Unallocated Reserve....................2,000

The category 'Near East and South Asia' would include Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan, among other countries.

The number they turn the blind eye to, is much larger.

You are conflating refugees and immigrants.

I'd be happy to discuss either topic with a knowledgeable poster.

How is he confusing the two? He simply said that we can kick out the illegal aliens to help refugees. I'm sure he knows the difference between legal and illegal immigrants. He may not feel the need to write a novel to get his point across like some long winded people on here do.
