I'm starting to lean more towards Trump being controlled opposition. Giving people just enough hope that someone is sticking it to the system so they can keep going about their lives believing there's a chance that someone will hold the evil government accountable. But, let's be real. If he was a real threat, they would either just actually fabricate evidence and make it stick, or assassinate him JFK style. Instead, they use him as a perfect foil every time they need a distraction from something important that is bad for them.
