Here at the Estate, there are many cool plants around the property. Next nice day, I am going to start photographing them so the smartest people I know (Brown Cafe members) can identify them for me and suggest how we should care for them.
Someone who lived here and has since passed planted and cared for them. We did a lot of work last fall just cutting back and hauling away overgrowth as it has been 5 years since anyone really has tended to them.

To be continued....

Just a guess.....forsythia ?
Googled that. Yup, that's what it looks like. The website I looked at says you can cut them right to the ground and they'll grow back pretty quick.
And I think that's what we'll do after the bloom.

Thanks More!

Over, if you enter a description of your "unknown" plants into the Yahoo search,
There are lots of pictures to compare and maybe identify your plants.

Another way of identifying the flora.......take a generous branch trimming of them all and head down to HomeDepot/Lowes in the garden dept. and they can identify them for you.
