Former UPS chairman, CEO speaks of his leadership heroes - Kokomo Perspectives
On Friday, Kokomo’s own Kent C. “Oz” Nelson, retired chairman and chief executive officer of United Parcel Service (UPS), spoke of his heroes at the Bona Vista Programs’ business luncheon at the CasaBella Ballroom at Pastarrific.
Nelson is also one of this year’s Howard County Hall of Legends.
"Several years ago when President Reagan was still in office, somebody asked him, ‘Where are all the heroes?’” Nelson said. “And President Reagan said, ‘People say that there are no more heroes, but heroes are working hard at their jobs, caring for loved ones, helping those who need help, defending their country and their beliefs."
