My goodness you people are sensitive!

I agree whats it matter if we rush through the creation of another beaurocracy that eats another trillion dollars.

Its funny watching the clip in that the lberals in power constantly accuse the republicans of bipartisanship yet here we clearly see the libs disrespecting a senior member of congress.

One reason I rarely find a liberal leader I like is because most do not hold any principles near and dear especially that of respect. Watching Franken here is reminiscent of watching a spoiled brat pull back his toy to spite a playmate.

Well see now, I'm not sure I've been too impressed with the way Congress has acted in the past. Maybe it's time to shake things up a bit. Maybe Al just thought it was time to pull back on all the pontificating (people here like that word) and inform the Senators that though they like hearing themselves ramble enlessly making point after oft repeated point, noone really gives a crap. Really, what fabulously important point was Lieberman trying to get in that he hasn't made ad nauseum for the past year?

I think its great to finally shut up the one man who THINKS he runs the congress with his flip flopping big mouth.

Hoorah, to Franken for pulling the plug. Too bad he couldnt shut grandpa off as well.

BB is correct, all the republicans have done on the floor is P O N T I friend I C A T E without saying anything.

Health care is going to pass, we may not all be happy with it, but it will pass, get signed and we can all move on with other business.

Peace

Which will be giving all those law breaking immigrants free citizenship .
Elections have consequences.:happy2: You may proceed with attempting to scare me about how the immigrants will take my job, wife, family, and possibly my life. I have seen this show before, but it's always amusing.

I commend Franken for shutting down Leiberman and speeding up Senate hearings. McCain, stood up and said he hasn't seen that in 27 years. I call that change ! :wink2: Or does everyone need to be reminded of the (R) from Ok using stalling tatics last week by attempting to read all 767 pages amendment from Bernie Sanders single payer bill.

Are you having Lou Dobbs over for tea and crumplets ?

I hope they have to read the whole bill out loud. And because of the reading, I hope they miss Christmas.

I'm not sure what point lieberman was going to make, he's certainly not my political cup of tea but the concept here bothers me. Some politicians in congress my actually be concerned about the additional trillon dollars being spent and may not want to rush into it. Franken on the other hand was clearly pushing this along to meet Obamas deadline. So whats more important here?

Yet when a certain senator interrupted Obama with an honest evaluation of his speech ( Liar Liar) you didn't seem to like that change?

Their job was to pass a healthcare bill no matter what the majority of the nation wants. They are O-bomb-a's flying monkeys!! They can't see beyond 'now'. They will be jobless soon !!

The people have experienced lie after lie from O. (not Oprah) and campaign speech #101 won't work anymore. It will now be the question...."What have you done lately?"

Its funny watching the clip in that the Conservatives in power constantly accuse the Democrats of bipartisanship yet here we clearly see the Rep's disrespecting The President.

There, I fixed it !

Amazing how the interchangibility between the 2 work and flow so well!

As to McCain's remarks, whether you love him or hate him, Sen. Robert Byrd is a widely accepted historian and authority on Senate protocol and history and I'd like to hear what he has to say about all of this. Tactics of delay and fillibuster has always been typical life in the Senate as it is a far more delibrative body than the house and none more infamous than Sen. Byrd himself and the infamous story of his dog Billy.

I do believe had Franken truly overstepped his authority, he'd have been called out immediately for it but the fact that a common courtesy was not extended in this case IMO doesn't mean much IMO. McCain could have given Lieberman some of his time to finish his remarks (allowed by the rules) and yet he did not so consider that point as well.

But it gives chackling hens and the political party rubes something to spend time worrying about.

More wine and circus anyone!
