California is very Red once you leave the blue areas (where the vast majority live and work), and the Red areas hate the fact that 90% of the population actually control the state. Never mind that the Blue cities subsidize the poor Red cities because they have few good jobs and almost no industry. So, you agree that Missouri is actually still a Red state even though it has large Blue pockets?
