Going back part-time

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to go from full-time-to part-time?

My UPS center is getting worst everyday, killing routes and killing drivers. Mainly over dispatching me. (and I still run bonus everyday)

I don't really need the money, but would like to keep the insurance.

Have you considered cover driving rather than going PT?

There is your problem you are still run bonus everyday (stop running and gunning take your full lunch and breaks and send a messages when you going to need help to finish). The more you do the more they are going to give you.

If they let you Quit be a driver and rehire you as PT at $9:00 hr would you be saying the same thing.

I had a driver last year ask me the same thing.

My advice to him was QUIT, then re-hire into another center. Nothing like really starting freash.

But if you quit you run the chance (99%) of being put on the no rehire list.

feel the same way, i like my job but getting very tired of all the bs. we had a guy in our center go back to part time, iirc he had some kind of "condition" and doctors notes to get moved back

Exactly, but he is more senior than me so I have no problems with that.
