As a progressive liberal American, I can honestly say that I called this disaster for the GOP a few years back on this board.

I said, if the party didnt find a way to relate to all americans instead of trying to give the "white is right" methodology another chance to survive, the party would implode.

Its pretty clear now, the GOP is going to get destroyed in the 2016 election, but before that happens, they have to navigate a convention that appears to be headed for a contested convention.

The infighting has already started with law suits filed in several states over delegates, the RNC itself hates Trump and all he stands for, the right wing establishment hates Trump, the tea party is still the people on the fringe and the christian evangelicals are still hoping to bring space God into our schools and offices.

By all accounts, the GOP party is in complete disarray and Trump is going to be the guy that blew them up.

The party of Reagan is now the party of buffoons. There is no hope for a party that has divided itself into tiny pieces and then attacks each other as viciously as they are doing now.

The GOP is the laughing stock of the country, and this whole mess is going to end up costing the GOP the Senate and maybe the house as well as the white house.

A policy is a plan of action. Cutting taxes is a policy. Not sure when it ceased to be a policy. I suppose universal healthcare would be considered a policy, right?

1)

Lower taxes for everybody?? Reagan RAISED taxes on the working poor and middle class while cutting taxes for the top 1%, racking up a national debt of over 3.7 trillion dollars. That didnt help the country, the middle or lower classes and it definitely didnt help the economy which saw the savings and loans collapse sending the country into a RECESSION.

GW BUSH didnt lower taxes on the middle or working poor, but he did cut the taxes for the top 1% and tanked the economy driving up the prices on everything know to mankind in this country. This didnt help the American people or the country and it nearly put us into a depression.

Herbert Hoover started this trickle down theory of cutting taxes on the rich and he put this country into a depresssion.

Now you want to claim that Trump is going to lower your taxes?? Please, wake up bro. He has no intention of lowering your taxes, and neither does anyone in the GOP.

They are only concerned with the top 1%, and YOU my friend, as in ALL republican administrations, will foot the bill for those tax cuts. Never in American history has a republican president cut the taxes for middle class while maintaining the top tax brackets for the rich. How do you think the government pays its bills??

They cut for the rich, and the theory is, those rich people will trickle down more money to YOU, and you will spend more, but that never happens and it never has happened.

President Obama has CUT your taxes several times in 8 years, and you would think you would just say THANK YOU and give him some credit. People like cruz want to cut the tax rate to a flat rate, but then RE TAX you on a VAT TAX, in which YOU end up paying MORE than you would have in the first place, simply because he removes all the deductions for YOU and your family, like your mortgage, college, daycare and insurance, but people like you dont take the time to understand how the scam works, you just hear "Tax cut" "flat tax" and then you wet your pants.

Less regulations... the battle cry of the right wing. "if only we had less regulations, everything would be so much better"...Well my friend, again, you have it all wrong.

The first regulation they want to remove is the federal minimum wage, and return the setting of wages back to the states, but in red states, they have wages far below the minimum now, and they have NO intention of raising them. Some red states dont have a state minimum wage at all, and most red states pay anyone under 18 years of age near 3 bucks an hour.

But to YOU, this is helping americans. Again, you dont understand all the metrics involved in wages and benefits.

What else do you think the republicans have in mind?? What about the clean water act?? the GOP over these last 8 years have tried to repeal this law so polluters like frackers cant be held liable for contamination of aqua firs or rivers and streams. To you, they call it job creation and you believe it, simply because you dont understand what is at stake for you . Look at michigan.

Regulations are NOT preventing people from opening small businesses, despite those claims. BIG BOX STORES have KILLED the small business and you can thank the republicans for that. There will be no more MOM and POP shops in this country, they simply cannot compete with the large box stores.

You could exempt a small business from taxes alltogether, and they would still fail, like they are now.

You couldnt name ONE regulation that would help americans if you tried bro. But I will challenge you to name one.

Smaller government. Another republican joke. There hasnt been one single republican president who cut the size of government. Reagan TRIPLED the size of government, BUSH blew up the government payrolls as well. OBAMA has been the only president to cut the size of the government each and every year.

You say you want government out of your business, but you want government to tell you what you can do to your body, or who you can marry or what color you can marry like they did in the "old days" as Trump would call it.
