The Americans who are upset dont want to pay for a game or merchandise or TV to watch these players protest. They wouldn't care if they were protesting  off the field..which brings me to my point..these players AREN'T protesting off the field. They did it solely to be trendy. You're calling out the side you disagree with..but You're not calling out the players for what they are..and what they're doing.
