How many Sorters, Unloaders, or Loaders really use the "Hand to Surface" method when handling packages?

greengrenades To be the man, you gotta beat the man.

I go through a lot of lotion doing the hand to surface on my package.

sailfish Having way too much fun.

You do it for as long as you reasonably can but even management knows it will take you all day if you follow this procedure for every single package 100% of the time.

It's hand-air-surface for most preloaders in my center.

Bags of clothes are hand-air-surface in smalls. Boxes usually hand-surface. The extra "air" step actually saves a ton of time.

It's more of a unloader & sort aisle thing hardknocks if you're a loader and have never heard of it bro.

Anyone can see that "hand to surface" package handling is a practiced in word not deed.

What is the purpose of your question?

The purpose is to see who really uses hand to surface....

I did at first, but not so much anymore. I'd never meet their insane PPH expectations if I followed their methods, even though not doing so has caused them to pull me aside a couple times. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Air creates friction. Therefore, air is a surface.
