Fettuccine à la Sinatra
Serves 3 or 4
Ingredients:
1 8-ounce package fettuccine
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup whipping cream
1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and black pepper
Directions:
Cook fettuccine until it is al dente. Drain pasta. While pasta is cooking, make sauce by melting butter in a saucepan on low heat. Remove butter from heat; blend cream and cheese into it. Return to heat and simmer thoroughly, season with salt and pepper. Careful not to let the sauce come to a boil. Add the sauce to the drained pasta and let stand, covered, for a couple of minutes. Perhaps garnish with parsley. Serves three or four.
